When Apple announced they removed the 3.5mm headphone jack from the new iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, the first thought that came to everyone’s mind was how do we charge our phone and listen to music at the same time. Since the iPhone 7 used the lightning port for audio output, it would be hard for a user to do two things at the same time.
Even the additional adapter that comes with the iPhone won’t let you charge the phone since it will be using the lightning port. So how do we go about it? Belkin has come out with an adapter that would cost you an extra $40 but it will let you listen to music and charge your phone at the same time. It’s called the Lightning Audio +Charge RockStar and it is as simple as it looks.
The adapter has two female lightning ports and one lightning male jack that will plug into your phone. This adapter will attach to the adapter that will supply with the iPhone 7 which lets you convert the lightning port to a 3.5mm headphone jack. Basically, it’s a splinter to add to your woes.
